Dr. Oscar Aguilar
Dr. Oscar M. Aguilar graduated as a general, interventional and nuclear cardiologist from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
He is currently the director of Cardiology at the Hospitals of Providence Memorial campus, the director of cardiac rehabilitation at the Hospitals of Providence Sierra campus, and an assistant professor of medicine at Texas Tech University in El Paso, Texas.
He is certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional cardiology, Nuclear cardiology and Cardiac CT.
He became SHAPE certified in 2014 and founded the heart attack and stroke prevention clinic in El Paso, Texas 2 years ago.
Over the years he has devoted part of his time to the prevention of heart attack and strokes as well as the education of doctors nurses, medical students and residents on this important topic.

Dr. Koch is the Director of Echocardiography and the Director of Advanced Non-invasive Cardiovascular Imaging at Bend Memorial Clinic. He is a non-invasive cardiologist who joined BMC in 2005 from the University of Chicago where he completed his medical school, residency and fellowship. He is Board Certified in: Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiac CT and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Koch has been published extensively in the field of cardiac imaging and holds multiple patents in the area of echocardiography. His special areas of interest include preventive cardiology and he enjoys partnering with patients to maximize their quality of life and educating to empower them. He is dedicated to partnering with patients through education and understanding in achieving a higher quality of life for his patients.

Dr. Mahir Elder

Dr. Mahir Elder is an interventional cardiologist at the Detroit Medical Center, Cardiovascular Institute with a specialty in minimally invasive procedures. He is medical director of the Cardiac Care Unit at Harper University Hospital and the Asst. Program Director of Wayne State University School of Medicine Interventional Fellowship program where he teaches doctors these complex cardiac procedures. Dr. Elder holds multiple board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, endovascular disease, vascular interpretation and nuclear cardiology. He specializes in peripheral arterial disease, intracoronary and carotid stenting, vein disease and complex cardiovascular disease. He has developed numerous clinical trials and research on endovascular procedures and complex vascular cases. Dr. Elder is also an Asst. Clinical Professor of Medicine both at Wayne State University’s School of Medicine as well as Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine. He is the highest volume operator of peripheral arterial disease in the state of Michigan.

With a specialty in Cardiology and seven (7) national board certifications Dr. Elder is the highest volume operator in peripheral arterial disease and amputation prevention in the state of Michigan. He is best known for bridging any gaps for disparities of care in the community and being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All doctors know that they can send him patients whether they have insurance or not. He and his group have taken care of thousands of patients without insurance at their own cost.

Dr. Nevrez Koylan

Dr. Nevrez Koylan was born in March 3, 1957, in Iskenderun, Turkey. After completing his primary and secondary education, he started his medical career by joining Istanbul Faculty of Medicine of Istanbul University in 1975 as a medical stdent and graduated in 1981. After graduation, he started to work at the Department of Internal Medicine of Istanbul University as a resident and acquired the “Specialist on Internal Medicine”degree in 1986. He completed his military and compulsatory governmental services between 1986 and 1989. At 1989, he joined Department of Cardiology of Istanbul Medical Faculty as a fellow of Cardiology and acquired the “Assistant Professor” degree in 1990. In 1996, he acquired “Professor” and “Specialist in Cardiology”degrees. He worked at the same institution until 2011. During his work as a member of the educational staff in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, he acted as the head of “Dynamic EKG Laboratory between 1993 and 2006, member of “Research Ethics Committee” between 200 and 2002, and the president of the same committee between 2002 and 2003 for 3 years.

Dr. Koylan is a member of Turkish Society of Cardiology since 1984. He was also accepted as the Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and American College of Cardiology (FACC). He is also members of European Society of Hypertension (ESH) and European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS). As he fulfilled the criteria of EAS, he was awarded to be “European Hypertension Specialist”. He has contributed to 4 English textbools as section author and has 31 articles published in international peer reviewed journals (list attached) as well as many abstracts in international medical meetings.
